Fusion Projects completed the construction of this 3,037-square-foot law office on the 15th floor of 320 Granville, bringing together two existing suites to create a refined and highly functional workplace in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The project is an example of Fusion’s approach to commercial office construction in Vancouver, combining thoughtful design execution with the technical requirements of a modern professional workplace.

Working alongside designer Kasian, Fusion served as Construction Manager while also overseeing the project’s electrical and mechanical consultants. The existing demising wall between the two suites was removed to create a unified floor plan comprising private offices, a legal assistant workstation area, boardroom, phone room, print room, kitchen, and lounge. This coordinated approach allowed the architectural, mechanical, and electrical components of the office renovation to be managed cohesively throughout construction.

Throughout the workplace, materiality and architectural detailing help establish a sense of continuity between spaces. Nuvolato Architop concrete flooring extends through the common corridors, kitchen, lounge, and print area, while curved walls finished with custom millwork panels guide movement from the office corridors into the more social areas of the workplace. An open ceiling through the kitchen and lounge adds volume overhead, complemented by a planted bulkhead and a collection of Brokis Knot Cilindro pendant lights above the kitchen island.

The boardroom became one of the project’s most technically detailed spaces. A MAXXIT Agilis aluminum panel system with integrated acoustic treatment cascades from the ceiling down the feature wall, where the television and AV system are seamlessly incorporated. Curved cove lighting follows the architectural geometry of the space, carrying the same visual language toward the kitchen and lounge.

Acoustic performance was also an important consideration for a workplace where privacy is essential. Private office partitions were constructed to the underside of the slab, while Bridgewall glazed wall systems, drop seals, and additional acoustic measures help limit sound transfer without sacrificing the openness and natural light created by the glass-fronted offices.

The finished space balances the privacy and functionality required of a modern legal workplace with inviting communal spaces designed for gathering and connection. From integrated building systems and acoustic performance to custom architectural details, the project reflects Fusion Projects’ coordinated approach to commercial interiors, office construction, and design-build projects throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
