In addition to our support of the Family Services of the North Shore this holiday season, we also continue our support of the Lift the Children Foundation through a recent $1,200 donation.

About Lift the Children Foundation

"At Lift the Children, we make a solemn commitment to the children in our care. We believe education is the key to self-sufficiency. That is why we place such a strong emphasis on educating the children. Without such emphasis, any assistance would simply be a bandaid solution and not fix the long-term problems affecting these areas.

We help our children reach new heights by inspiring them to develop the desire and capacity to break the cycle of poverty and to become the best that they can be. It is our goal to develop future leaders among these children so that one day they can help make their country self-sufficient.

Unlike many organizations Lift The Children guarantees that all sponsorship donations it receives, go directly to the orphanages and the children. This is possible through a generous grant from the John Volken Foundation, which covers all expenses including, wages, travel, administration and communication expenses."
